Studying BA (Hons) degree in photography

Level 1 courses: The Art of Photography, Digital Photographic Practice, People and Place                                                                                Level 2 courses: Landscape, Digital Image and Culture (in progress)
I work full time as a operating theatre nurse following strict procedures and policies from day to day within my job. I have always had an interest in photography and studying with the Open College of Arts allows me the flexibility to develop my creativity within a subject I enjoy around my family and career. I am also a keen mountain biker and have enjoyed developing my sports photography skills at races whilst my husband and his friends race. I am honing my skills and working on my fitness so that I can reach the viewpoints on more challenging rides and take images like the MTB photographers I aspire to.
During the Landscape course I began to understand where my passions lie; alternative reality, memory, time and tourist photography which I am hoping to develop further during this course.  I find it beneficial attending exhibitions which relate to my coursework and am looking forward to Format in Derby and HIPP in Hull which I have already booked into my diary.
